About this partnership
The Ecuador Partnership was started in 2001 with the goal of starting an association of Vineyard Churches in Ecuador.
After having visited Ecuador on multiple occasions doing church planting conferences, medical outreaches, kid outreaches, meeting pastors . . . no churches were planted. So in 2005 God spoke and said "you need a missionary" so the leader of the partnership moved to plant the first Vineyard churches. The first Vineyard church was planted in Quito, Ecuador in 2007. In the last two years it has grown 200% and it's current attendance is approx 250 per Sunday. In November of 2015, the second Vineyard was planted in Pallatanga and is presently in the gathering stages. The partners are asked to adopt a church plant and love on those church planters. Clearly they provide the financial support to keep their missionaries in the field while encouraging the church planters (including their missionaries). Building relationships with church planters allows the teams that come down to have a purpose beyond simply visiting and, God willing, this leads to a lifelong relationship of love and care.

Ecuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. Ecuador is substantially dependent on its petroleum resources, which have accounted for more than half of the country's export earnings and approximately 25% of public sector revenues in recent years.
La Viña Quito supports a ministry called "Contigo" which works with many of the orphanages in Ecuador. In one of the cities, we're praying about planting a church. La Viña Quito has a ministry called "Alturas" which is working in the mountain areas and their number one desire is "water"....water to cultivate their crops and also drinking water. Rio Negro is a small town in the jungle with the desire to plant a church, their main ministry is to extremely needy kids.
