Bolivia

About this partnership

The mission of the VBP is to establish an indigenous Vineyard Church Planting movement in Bolivia, governed and financed by the local churches in Bolivia, and ultimately to release a national leader to lead the national AVC and represent the Vineyard in Bolivia on an international level.

We're currently working in three of Bolivia's biggest cities: La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz. In each city, we support one or two small Vineyard churches pastored by Bolivians through training, conferences, coaching, prayer, and most of all - friendship. Vineyard missionaries also run a children's home for sick and abandoned babies in Santa Cruz.

If you'd like to join the Bolivia partnership, we'd invite pastors to come along with us on an all-expense paid exploratory trip first to check out what God is doing first-hand.

About Bolivia

Bolivia is a country in central South America, with a varied terrain spanning Andes mountains, the Atacama Desert and Amazon Basin rain forest. At more than 3,500m, its administrative capital, La Paz, sits on the Andes’ Altiplano plateau with snow-capped Mt. Illimani in the background. Bolivia is a resource rich country with strong growth attributed to captive markets for natural gas exports –to Brazil and Argentina. Gas accounts for roughly 50% of Bolivia’s total exports and will fund more than half of its 2015 budget. However, the country remains one of the least developed countries in Latin America because of state-oriented policies that deter investment and growth.
