WEDNESDAY'S ONLINE TRAINING: MISSIONAL HOUSE CHURCHES

MISSIONS LEADERS ARE GATHERED IN COLORADO SPRINGS

This week, the Vineyard Missions partnership leaders as well as the Missions Task Force and other invited leaders are enjoying the beautiful surroundings at Glen Eyrie Conference Center in Colorado Springs.  Each year, about 150-200 leaders gather for the Missions Leaders Meeting.  This week, we are hearing from our new National Director, Phil Strout, as well as Bob Logan of Logan Leadership.  The Missions Task Force, under the direction of Mark Fields, is sharing what is going on around the world and casting vision for the coming year.  It is always such an encouraging and refreshing week.  Follow the week on Facebook...

COMUNIDAD CRISTIANA, COMAYAGUA, HONDURAS

Comunidad Cristiana, Comayagua, Honduras is a church that is feeding and clothing the destitute, building homes for the homeless, and reaching out to their community with the love of Jesus!

When the devastating fire broke out in the Comayagua Jail on February 14, 2012 that claimed the lives of approximately 356 inmates, it captured the worlds attention; and one of those inmates was Wendy’s husband; a member of LaViña.  Three years previously a team from Vineyard Church North Phoenix had built a kitchen for Wendy. When her husband was released from prison last year this act of kindness blessed him so much he attended the church and gave his life to the Lord.  Unfortunately, Wendy’s husband violated his parole and was back in jail awaiting his sentence when the fire took his life.  In the middle of this horrible tragedy God had prepared a family for Wendy who was now pregnant with two small children; but Wendy was at peace knowing her husband was with the Lord.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:22-23
